Easter is upon us and this means a few public holidays for retail stores but not eBay! However sales may slow down over the Easter break because of people taking holidays and being away from work and buying items! The Easter break can also give people more opportunity to wind down and do some bidding on items they have been wanting, so each niche market can be very different.
The other thing to think about is making sure that if you do make sales over this Easter period to let your customers know that you won’t be shipping your items til Wednesday 27th, it may sound like common sense but there are people out there that think you can still ship on holidays, so better to be safe than getting negative feedback.
Have a safe and happy Easter!

Google have once again shown how prepared they are to keep on the cutting edge of the online Search with the new +1 Feature.
Essentially users would have the ability of actually voting on websites while still on Google and adding to the experience based on their feedback.
It will work similar to the Like button Facebook but will be integrated into the worlds largest search engine.
Now if you’ve been selling on eBay for a while like we have, you already understand the power of giving and receiving feedback for interacting and doing business.
Well imagine a world where every website can be rated by their customers and the experience they’ve had with a company or organisation.
This will give the average company and website a good shake up especially if you’re getting graded every time someone finds you in the search engines, or not.
It seems no matter how modern things are getting technically…it still comes down to good old fashioned customer service and and word of mouth.
How cool is it that we get to be part of this evolution? Especially if you plan on delivering what people expect and making a great business in the meantime.

I guess it was only a matter of time before the big guns added their weight to the online check out and money processing game.
Amex have come up with what they hope will be a PayPal killer when it comes to everyday sellers and online traders.
Serve could potentially be trouble for the traditional banks and credit card companies, and also for services like PayPal, VISA & Square.
Let’s face it they already have a huge customer base, especially in the US and I’m sure once they roll it out internationally it just could make accepting Amex in your business be that much simpler.
I know when we applied for an Amex merchant facility it was a pretty lengthy process, maybe that’s all in the past now.
Anyway, any new way to make it easier for my customers to pay me online…I’m all for it.
eBay To Go is a new App being tested in the US which let’s eBay sellers showcase up to 10 items on Facebook, or any Web site or blog. The widget is free and you can decide how many items to show, and which ones. A nice feature of this app is that you can choose ahead of time which listing will replace another when it sells or expires.
